So whether visiting relatives for a couple of nights during the festive break or escaping to sunny weather for a couple of weeks, home security should be front of mind for everyone this Christmas.
To help make home monitoring affordable for every household, Motorola has just launched its budget priced Focus 68 security camera so you can see exactly what’s happening at home without having to break the bank.
The Motorola Focus 68 turns any internet-enabled device, such as a smartphone or a tablet, into a fully functional home video monitor and can live stream in HD over Wi-Fi.
It has a 110-degree field view and comes with digital zoom and infrared night vision to ensure a clear view of the room, day or night. Built in infrared camera filters stop the distortion of images as the human eye sees them, giving a perfect image every time, claims Motorola.
Using the Hubble for Motorola Monitors app, the camera feed can be viewed from anywhere in HD. There is a night light at the back of the camera that can be easily turned on or off using the app. Smart notifications, manual recording and image snapshots are also included as part of the free service.
Additional services such as a daily video summary and motion-triggered video recording with cloud storage is available as an optional extra on a monthly or yearly subscription basis from £2.99 a month. For a limited time new and existing customers will also get up to 25% off plans and Motorola products purchased from hubbleconnected.com.
The Motorola Focus 68 is now available for £59.99 from Amazon.
